The Transit Riders Union is expanding our people power to shape the regional policy landscape. We are seeking a visionary part-time Transit Justice Community Organizer to build long-term rider power, improve service equity, and lead critical conversations about regional transit investments across Seattle and King County.
In this role, you will lead grassroots outreach, mentor rider leaders, and coordinate strategic campaign mobilizations to ensure those who depend on transit are at the forefront of public decision-making. We are looking for an individual with a deep commitment to community mobilization and disability justice who is ready to help lead our powerful alliance for social change.
Job Logistics & Compensation:
- Hours: 20 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
- Compensation: $25–$30 per hour depending on experience
- Benefits: Paid time off, a monthly insurance stipend, and a transit pass
