We’re leading a coalition that includes 6 other organizations to get the City Council & Mayor to pass a package that achieves:
Truth in Renting to limit junk fees & unspecified utility charges. Extend protections against unfair evictions when leases end. End rent traps by letting renters on leases facing rent increases to move without penalties. Ban retaliation by landlords. Inform renters of their rights with a city website. Advice & advocacy for renters by City or contracted staff.
