 nt leveraged that win–alongside Seattle tenant’s victories–to pass
  statewide rent stabilization. Measure 1\, Safe Homes for All\, on Tacom
 a’s ballot this November will build on that victory\, ensuring rights 
 on paper are actually enforced\, that lawbreaking slumlords are held acc
 ountable\, and that Tacoma’s growing tenant union movement has the lev
 erage it needs to win.\nThat’s why the corporate landlord lobby is pou
 ring massive resources into defeating ballot measure #1\, Safe Homes For
  All. Seattle’s multi-billion-dollar Goodman Real Estate empire\, owne
 d by a Trump mega-donor\, has dropped $175\,000 into funding deceptive a
 ds. In 2023\, outside real estate interests shattered local records by s
 pending nearly $400\,000 in a failed effort to block Tacoma’s Tenant B
 ill of Rights\, and they are building an even larger war chest this fall
 . But we can overcome their corporate propaganda again through solidarit
 y and grassroots organizing\, ensuring that we build progressive momentu
