A progressive income tax targeting wealthy households will be discussed for the first time at this special meeting of the Affordable Housing, Neighborhoods, and Finance Committee. After the public comment there will be a panel discussion including coalition representatives, tax experts, and the councilmembers on the committee.
Now, when actual legislation is introduced, is when we can expect strong opposition to emerge and some councilmembers to start getting cold feet. So…
