At this meeting of the City Council’s Finance Committee, the councilmembers will discuss potential amendments to legislation that would raise $75 million for housing, shelter, and services through a progressive tax on big businesses like Amazon!

It is critical that we turn out in force for this meeting to make sure that the legislation is not watered down with bad amendments.

There will be another meeting Friday at 9:30 AM where the Councilmembers will vote on proposed amendments. Then, we expect them to VOTE the legislation out of committee so that it can go on to the May 14th full council meeting for a final vote. Join us!
